SPOILER ALERT!

Wildflowers

After Dawson and Amanda were reunited after many many years of being apart, strange feelings start to take over each of them. They fail to mention to each other how they are really feeling but they each sense the awkwardness of not knowing how one should behave.

When they both arrive in Oriental they realize quickly that Tuck, their old friend who recently passed away, carefully planned many situations that would maybe spark an old, lost flame between the two. They are arranged to drive to Tuck's and his wife, Clara, old house in the middle of no where to scatter his ashes next to hers. When they arrived at the house they both knew instinctively why Tuck sent them there. There was a beautiful field of wildflowers of every color that gave off a heavenly vibe of the place. The wildflower field was clearly made for Clara as if Tuck was saying he would never forget her. Amanda, who is now even more confused than before, feels wrong about her feelings for Dawson coming back. Even though she is not happy with her life right now and knows Dawson is the one she should be with, she still feels wrong about the situation.

As they explore the rest of the house and read the letters Tuck wrote them for the first time, we will understand more of how the rest of the story may play out. With many hooks and turning points detailed in Sparks's book, it has me feeling every emotion that Amanda or Tuck could be possibly feeling. My heart hurts and loves just as if I am living this story myself, and excites me to continue reading and reveling parts of their past.
