Every book I have read by Nicholas Sparks has been wildly amazing. With that being said, so is his newest released book called The Best of Me.
It starts off with the setting of a small town, high school romance during 1984. Involving two main characters, Dawson Cole and Amanda Collier. Sparks goes into details on their relationship and the troubles they both encounter personally. All as well as switching back and forth between their high school days and the present day that they live in. When the death of a close friend of the two occurs, Dawson and Amanda are reunited, at last, almost 30 years later. Obviously, the spark has not gone away between the two ex lovers, but the unspoken love between them could potentially cause problems for wife and mother of three, Amanda.
As the story progresses, I will find out whether they decide they need to be together even after years of being apart or if fate is not real and they decide to remain living their current lives. Consequently, Nicholas Sparks will forever be a favorite author of mine, as well as many other peoples' I'm sure, and I look forward to his next creations.
